Content on Demand

Foster J
LOS ANGELES — So what's all this brew ha ha about content on the web. Well let me ask you a simple question. What do digital VTRs on the latest set top boxes, Tivo and streaming media have in common? All three represent the delivery method that we (as consumers of entertainment and information) now demand.

I've termed the phrase Content on Demand as it relates to the Web. Just what do I mean by content on the web? Information — video or otherwise, as accessible as channels on television, but not just clickable via remote control, but on our terms, and our schedules. The entertainment, news, sports,

commercials, the weather - when we want it, how we want it and here - right here in a browser.

If your website doesn't evolve into a COD website, your information will go the way of dial-up access. You, your message and your best marketing face forward will be as outdated as hearing 'You've got Mail" on AOL.

Consumers want their information with a pause a stop a fast forward and a rewind button. The convergence isn't around the corner. It's last year's news. From set top boxes to cellular phones. Video on demand will soon replace broadcasting as the preferred method we as consumers demand! When it does, wouldn't you rather be ready?

GET WITH THE PROGRAM.
The system is in play today. Get on with the revolution. Content On Demand is the key to delivering timely information the way you and your customers want it.

Predixis Party

By Foster (The guy who apparently does the only writing around here)
MONROVIA — When I got an email from a CTO named Mark Campbell, I thought I was in a time warp. Seems that my one of my former companies Predixis Corporation was under new sail. New venture capital, and thankfully new ownership as well. I was hired as Creative Director at Predixis in 2001 and my main function was to guide the look and feel of the marketing face for a company that developed a number of very fascinating
technology products. Predixis

develops preference matching software and MusicMagic was a software application that "magically" created playlists of digitized music based upon an analysis of the type of music you already enjoyed. I had always felt slighted when I was "promoted" to function as the Creative Director of Parasoft the then, parent company of Predixis. Well, four years later I was back at Predixis, on contract, to assist in their launch phase. The product was better then ever and the party was still in full force. View the work on their web site and let Predixis know what you think of it.

Currie Enterprises, 1480 N Tustin Avenue, Anaheim California

By Foster Johnson
ANAHEIM — Currie Enterprises began in the auto parts recycling business 40 years ago. When their main product line of original Ford 9 inch axles began to diminish, it was obvious that recycling this stalwart performance part would give way to manufacturing an upgrade. The Currie version of the Ford 9 inch is a solid advanced engineering product and can be found on high performance hot rods, jeeps and muscle cars world wide.

The famous Currie Rock Jock60 installed, a massive upgrade to a classic Jeep rear end.

In 2005 Currie and the team at Best PC are planning a celebration of the birth of the Ford 9 inch for the coming year. Partnering with Ford Racing and Ford Motor Cars to herald an American standard.

The best place to still buy this American classic (since it is no longer produced by Ford) is Currie Enterprises. I am looking forward to being a part of the planning and marketing for the event in 2006. I hope you will join us as well. More to come.

CANOGA PARK—
When I arrived at the Days Inn Hotel of Glendale California, I must admit, I was still excited about my first day of work which would start, the morning after the longest commute I have ever driven, that of 2,177.36 miles from Cincinnati Ohio to the present location.
I was excited about working for Mailmark for a number of reasons. I would finally be able to experience first hand, the inner workings of direct mail advertising (which up until now, I had only encountered from the point of view of buyer). I would do so by developing intimate knowledge of a leading technological innovation, the Xerox iGen3 Digital Production Press.

LOS ANGELES — When I was first introduced to Moises Quiñones, in August of 2004, I was slightly "taken aback" by his seemingly quiet demeanor and somewhat introspective mood. I could not imagine this gentleman as a robust entertainer with vocal dimensions influenced by Elvis. As rehearsal began for a live performance of his album called "Sonata a el amor" I abruptly realized how mistaken I was. Upon taking the microphone, surveying the ensemble behind him and launching into the song "Esta vida la vivo por ella", Moises Quiñones proved to be a dynamic vocalist with the professional stage presence of a veteran balladeer.
