Rapid Application Development
Does the mobile arena define the new state of the web? The latest developments from the W3C and the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group to formalize HTML5 could provide an indication if not a precise answer.
HTML 5 beats all expectations on the street for modern browser implementation. Most current versions within the seven broadest install bases, are rapidly adopting support for the exciting new features of the standard.
- Support for scalable vector graphics (great for mapping and geospatial apps)
- Support for embedded video and audio without the need for a stand alone player (video next to your info, without the YouTube logo)
- Data storage and data collection without a traditional data source connection (instant pricing and fast updates for financial info)
- Standardized markup for more efficient separation of content from design (from desktop display to pad and smartphone with one content source)
Mobile platforms will initially limit the use of plug-ins. HTML5 and the support for JavaScript (as the language of choice) for mobile and CSS3 are a strong combination. All three widen the interactive playing field. Find out more by contacting the studios.

Higher Learning
School is always in Session! In the fall of 2006 I had the great opportunity to work as a classroom technology instructor after many years away from the instructional field.
I've continued my pedantic pursuit in 2012 as an Adobe Certified Instructor. A portion of my schedule is now devoted to providing classroom training on location for Adobe Creative Suite products that now include DreamweaverCS5, Flash CS5, ActionScript 3.0, Adobe Photoshop CS5, Photoshop Lightroom, Illustrator CS5, Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, Adobe After Effects CS5 and Adobe InDesign CS5. Also, Captivate 5 and Acrobat X Pro.
Catch one of my classes in Oklahoma at METROTECH. In California via Promedia Academy in Irvine. Also nationwide through STERLING LEDET & ASSOCIATES.
Coming soon (Q2 — 2012) keep an eye out for internet delivered live courses. These are virtual classes from The Principal's Office. Also, look for my all new Mastery Learning Training System courseware for Adobe CS6.
Watch out! The Principal is coming down the hall!
